|Wigan St.Judes 24 West Bank 6|
This weeks game, was a home game against West Bank. We talked in training this week about upping the level of aggression whilst playing the game. The lads did not disappoint with a fine display in defence. Once the boys started to let the ball do the work in attack, they soon found themselves with Adam Wilde crossing in the corner for a Try, conversion missed. The boys continued to play well in defence, with the ball back in their hands, for Jake Edwards to cross for a Try, converted by Taylor Dean. Again the lads defended well, and the forwards certainly did their bit in getting the team up field. Allowing Thomas Fisher to cross for a Try, conversion missed. Taking the half time score to 14-0.
We knew West Bank would start the second half hard, but the boys did not back out of any tackle, if anything became more aggressive. They continued to play well with strong running, soon finding themselves up field again, for Adam Wilde to cross for his second Try of the day, conversion missed. The boys kept up their intensity in attack and defence, Josh Reid scoring with a great individual Try, converted by Owen Birch. In the dying minute of the game, West Bank broke Judes line, getting up field and scoring a Try which was successfully converted. Taking the full time score to 24-6.
Well done today boys, a great improvement in defence. Lets continue to play as a team.
