 Hindpool 22-32 Home
St Judes NWML side were 32-22 losers to Cumbrian side Hindpool In their Division 2 clash played in Winter like conditions at Parsons Meadow. Ultimately it was the poor weather conditions that decided that winner of the game would be the team that made the fewest mistakes, and on this occasion it turned out to be the visiting side Hindpool. Tries for St Jude’s came from Dean Hunt, Darryl King, Scott Robinson, and Ryan Pendleton. Best for St Jude’s were Dean Hunt, Darryl King, and Liam Foster.

 Ulverston 16-46Away
This was the final game of the cup group stage and saw Judes take the longest trip they will take. There was no doubting it would be a tough ask as Ulverston are the division above, but you can only play what’s in front of you and we all know, cup games are completely different. Judes started strong and had what turned out to be 4 consecutive sets against Ulverston, who held out really well, who then went on to go an score off their set of possession. Driven to get the points on the board Judes pushed up from kick off but left too many gaps and conceded again straight away. This woke the team up and they managed to frustrate Ulverston into making mistakes. A penalty to Judes when Ulverston were in possession saw Jordan take the tap and barge over from 10m out. Ulverston managed to get back on the board to extend the lead, but credit to Judes they stuck at it and managed to turn their next set of field position into points. Fantastic run from TJ down the right, the ball sweeping from right to left and Cameron hitting a strong line to go over near the posts. HT 18-12In the second half it was all to play for. Unfortunately, with some positional disruption, the lads struggled to grab hold of the game. Logan and Jake were taking the line in either side and giving their all trying to organise the attack. Liam had been spotted early doors and was being shut down at every opportunity. Judes were very unlucky in spells, conceding from interceptions. But at times the defence needed to be working as one and it wasn’t. Plenty to work on and looking forward to the rest of the league games. Tries - Jordan Taylor, Cameron Ashcroft Conversions - Leon Trafford 2Awards - Captains - Joe Ralphs Coach’s - Jake Liptrot and Logan WallsMan of the Match - Liam Ryding

 Shevington sharks 20-0Away
 Shevington sharks u10s 0 vs Wigan st Jude’s golds u10s 20

With the wind on Jude’s back the golds kick off to start the game and straight away set the tone of the match with some huge defence, shevington struggle With the wind on Jude’s back the golds kick off to start the game and straight away set the tone of the match with some huge defence, shevington struggling to make any yardage kick on the last, but immediately regain possession from a Jude’s error.
More strong defence makes it hard for the shevy pack and the Jude’s boys limit shevy to the half way line,
Shevy kick but yet again a Jude’s error gives Shevy their third set of possession on the bounce without Jude’s touching the ball.
Shevy finish their set with a kick high into the wind and after a bounce of the ball judes scramble and pounce on the ball.
A big run from chiz makes early yardage followed by Elwick and Cody and despite the wind Jude’s were not afraid to move the ball around with Myers finding chiz for him to score the opening try of the game, chiz kicks the conversion.
Shevington restarts but again Jude’s quick of the line pushing the shevy lads back. Big tackles from elwick chiz and Cody and a strong tackle from Myers shevy end their set with a kick that Kian catches on the full. A great run from Harrison but good defence from shevy manage to push him into touch.
Scrum with shevy to feed, good tackle from Myers but shevy offload bit brought down by Tyler. Great defence again from the golds managing to push the shevy lads back, shevy kick on the last dropped on by Kian.
Great run by Harrison, Aston makes a break but brought down by good shevy tackle. Myers kicks on the last.
Shevy make a strong run but is held up. Another two tackles by Aston and Myers shevy kick caught by Myers for him to return the ball well.
Aston gets the ball and makes half a break Jude’s kick on the last ..
Huge defence pushes the Jude’s player over his own line for Jude’s to regain possession.
Hilly takes it in on the restart and hands of two players to score in the corner.
Hilly kicks for goal but misses.
Shevy restart the game and Jude’s make tackles through Cody and deacon . Shevy look to pass the ball wide but make an error for Harrison to scoop it up and run the length of the field to score Jude’s 3rd try .
Harrison misses the conversion.
More strong defence sees the golds go into half time 14 nil up .
In second half shevy kicks to Jude’s and is easily picked up by kian who makes a good great run but sees a gap and passes to Cody who then runs hard at defence. Hilly plays the ball and made a great run through defence and passes to Oscar, then to myers and to chiz, great play by Jude’s. Shevington tackled Judes leaving them with the option to kick the ball. Oscar kicks followed up by elwick and Harrison forcing shevington into touch. The lads set up a scrum in favour of Jude’s. We’re Tyler passes down the line to chiz then to Isaac who got tackled by shevi. Chiz plays the ball and passes to oscar who then made a great run down the sideline but then stopped by shevi lads. Shevi now have the ball and run in strong but it wernt enough to get past Jude’s defence. Jude’s pressure forces shevi to make the mistake of knocking on. To which Isaac then picks up the ball passes down the line to chiz and scores another for judes.Kian kicks the conversion to make it 20-0
Shevvy are quickly stopped by Jude’s defence. Jude’s then get the ball back, which sees Oscar get through their defence and offloads to Isaac who sees Harrison open and he makes a great run but shevi make a good tackle which sees Harrison make a quick pass to Chiz but unluckily gets tackled. Two great tackles from Hilly stop shevi, shevi then kick the ball which kian brilliantly catches and passes to Aston who then has a great run but unfortunately Jude’s lose the ball. Harrison makes a great tackle which stop shevi and the Jude’s lads push them back, shevi then start again and Judes stops two runs big hit from Chizy which make shevi drop the ball and Hilly dove straight on to it, the Jude’s lads make some great passes from Myers to Cody and then chizy makes another great run, hilly then takes the ball and also has a great run and then passes to deacon who then on 5th tackle has a great kick but is picked up by shevi but again the Jude’s lads had great defence and kept it tight throughout the game great team work from all the Jude’s golds lads.
Shevington didn’t know what hit them today
