Sunday, 25 July 202110's - GoldsSaddleworth RangersAway32-30

We travelled over to Saddleworth for an early kick off, with only 11 players. Each one of them committed to the game in warm up.
Rangers kicked off, Judes receiving the ball, Rangers were straight in with their defense stopping Judes from getting anywhere near the try line in the first set. Judes defended extremely well to stop Saddleworth from crossing the try line.
Again, Saddleworth’s defense was too strong to allow Judes to sneak through. Saddleworth scoring the first try of the game. 6-0.
Judes ball and with a massive run from Alfie Jennings taking his side up the field for Zak Lushchan to push his way over the try line. Will Cobley converting 6-6.
Saddleworth repeated their set with another try making the score 12-6. Before Will Cobley used his fancy foot work and went storming over for his own try, Jayden King converting. 12-12.
Just before half time Saddleworth scored another try, powering through to make it 18-12.

Saddleworth made some great yardage but was unable to score with the outstanding defense from Judes.
The sun started to get warmer and with no subs, the boys started to lag a little, they were tired but determined to commit fully to the game.
Judes were more or less on Saddleworth’s try line, trying to get out of trouble, the boys had to organize themselves. Toby Hutchinson ran onto the ball from deep running down the line with half of Saddleworth’s pack on his back, to score a brilliant try. Conversion missed. 18-20.
The game was well and truly on, as both teams wanted the win, the Judes boys wanted the game more. Another good set with brilliant teamwork and leadership, sent Will Cobley over for his second try of the game, Tommy Shaw Converting 18-26.
Saddleworth fought back with a try from the halfway line on the first play of the ball, completing the conversion. 24-26.

Jude’s must have been a sleep for the first half as we went down 16-0
After some strong words from the coaches and the lads taking it on board it was defo a game of 2 halves
Jude’s came out in the 2nd half like a completely different team things started to click big tackles going in to win the ball back strong carries from the forwards kicks on the last chased down to score try’s backs where letting the ball do the work
what a game it turned out to be and a massive comeback to win the game 26-16
All the lads showed true grit and determination to not go out of the cup

Sunday, 25 July 20218's - GoldsWigan BulldogsAwayX XAnother really good display from the Golds today.

We played really well in defence today completing more sets than we have done for quite a while, showing a great determination to protect our line.

We also worked really hard in attack with some great solo efforts along with some great team tries with some spells of passing which we've been working on in training.

Today was definitely a performance the kids can be really proud of.

Coaches trophies went to Joe B for some excellent tackling efforts and some great pace in attack. The other trophy went to Jayden for some great defensive efforts and being full of determination.

The opposition coaches trophy went to Phoebe who was brilliant throughout showing good communication skills and doing really well to set up a try late on from passing out of a tackle.
Sunday, 25 July 20219's - GoldsLimehurst LionsAway52-48An early start for us all today as we travelled to Oldham. With only 8 players available we knew we needed to put 100% in for the whole game and that is exactly what every single player did. It was very close and an enjoyable game for both the players and the spectators. Once again the players team work and determination paid off.
