Sunday, 4 June 202312's - GoldsHeysham AtomsHome18-12St Judes welcomed Heysham down to the meadow in the glorious sunshine this Sunday morning.
The second time that these two have met within the last 7 days, still hurting from the defeat from last week, the boys were mentally and physically ready for this game.
Judes kicked off to Heysham, putting in the effort Judes held the Atoms boys out, Judes got the first points on the board as Will Cobley used his quick feet to get the opening points, converting his own try. A few sets each with no score, before Heysham got their ball to the fastest player on their team, who sneaked through and scored a try under the post, conversion made.
Judes fought back, keeping the Heysham team from adding to their points tally, as the turn over came on the Judes line, they had the full pitch to get out of when an error was forced through a knock on, Heysham’s got the ball back with only yards to score as the half time whistle blew.
Second half, Judes meant business. Some amazing ball work and defense from the lads, turning the heat up, Henlea Baynham was proving pivotal in the game, he broke the line, shrugging off the opposition, he headed to the line and touched the ball down. Try converted by Will Cobley.
Heysham’s ball and again Judes defense was massive, forcing the error as Heysham tried to pass the ball out quickly who knocked on. A pass out to Tommy Shaw, saw him weave through the opposition side to battle pass the defense who were hanging back to go over the line and carry on right under the post. Will Cobley converting.
Heysham took Judes off guard as they went over for the last try of the game with the conversion made.

A tough day at the office, but the boys wanted the win, an amazing effort from all of the team, who were beaming with pride at the final whistle. Well done.
A special mention to Ryley Flynn, who played his first game in the Gold’s kit and fitted in like a glove, he put in an amazing shift and came out a winner!!!!
Try scorers: Will Cobley, Henlea Baynham and Tommy Shaw.
Conversions: Will Cobley 3/3
Top Tackler: Henlea Baynham
Man of the match: Henlea Baynham.
