I asked the committee if i could award a Wigan St Judes Junior Team of the year trophy every year and it was agreed.

 

It is selected on not only the seasons performance, but also on what the team puts back in to the club, number of disciplinary’s, and how the team is viewed from an internal and external viewpoint.

We have a brilliant Junior section with a lot of success so it was a hard decision but this years winners are Wigan St Judes U11 (Golds).

 

They are our newest team and started the season with 7 players, they have recruited pro actively and started the season playing established teams with less numbers, this did not phase them, in fact it spurred them on, they have recruited steadily and won all there matches in there relevant division, they finished the season playing a team from a higher division and won convincingly. 

 

They as a coaching team never miss a meeting at the club or NWC and are always looking to improve and help other teams in the club if asked.

 

The players and parents also have embraced the ethos of the club, so congratulations to the players, coaches and parents and sponsors of the 2017 Wigan St Judes Junior Team of the year, Wigan St Judes U11 (Golds)
