Wigan st Jude’s left it mighty late to see off a very determined Hull Dockers at the Meadow on Saturday with a 46-32 win which keeps them right in the mix. Judes opened the scoring on 5 mins when Sponsors Man of the Match Gav Rodden picked up on a loose pass by the visitors to race away for the opening score, Fallon goaled. Hull Hit back with 2 quick tries 10-6 to the visitors. A Joey Brady try and Fallon goal put Jude’s back in front, but the visitors were well up for the game and they crossed the  Jude’s line 2 more times without reply for a 22-12 lead at the break.

 

Centre Connor Parkinson put Jude’s back in the game with a great try mins after the restart, but Hull hit Back Again to go 28-16 up on 52 mins. On 55 mins Connor Parkinson crossed for his second try, King slotted over the two  to make it 22-28 to the visitors. On 58 mins  Darryl King shot in to score under the posts ,off a Rodden Break, King goaled his own score. The final 7 mins were to much for the visitors as Jude’s turned on the style. Lewis Melling scored two great tries late on, one down the left when he out paced his opposite number, his next was from  a Tom Owen Break which he finished off under the posts, King did the rest with the boot. The final score of the game was from outstanding 

 

Full Back Baz Rothwell right under the sticks, King finished off the scoring with the boot. Outstanding throughout was NCL Man of the Match Brett Taberner who’s work Rate was right up there with many powerful hit ups and 18 tackles. Tom Owen who once again was on his A game with 130 Meters and 19 tackles, along with tackle machine Chris Rowe who again topped the tackle count with 24.
