Clock FaceHome30-28
Another tough win at the Meadow on Saturday as St Judes beat a gutsy Clock Face 30-28 with once again a paper thin defence on show. It was the visitors who opened the scoring on 6 mins and it took Jude’s 22 mins to peg it back when Dec Parkinson scored by the posts, Fallon goaled. On 35 mins Clock Face took the lead again, of a Jude’s mistake and they went in at the break 10-6 up. St Jude’s started the second half well when NCL Man of the Match Aaron Smith scored the first of his Brace of tries when he smashed his way through to score, Fallon added the two. Further tries by Gav Rodden, Joey Brady, Lewis Melling and Aaron Smiths second and one goal by Fallon as Jude’s took a 30-16 lead on 73 mins. But it was Clock Face who finished the better and could easily have stole this win from Jude’s grasp. Outstanding throughout was Sponsors Man of the Match Danny Clayton with 20 tackles and 180 meters to his name and Second Row Chris Rowe who put in another top performance with 35 tackles and some tough carries.
