Visitors Oulton Raiders recorded a mighty impressive victory over a well below par St Judes at the Meadow with a 34-12 win. At one stage St Judes were 34-0 down after 64 minutes this despite good efforts from Gavin Rodden , Oly Oladele, Josh Rogerson, Nathan Jones and Man of the Match Adam Lavin. Nothing went right for an out of sorts Judes as Dean Hunt, Paul Pendlebury and Nathan Bevan tried to put things right but the visitors were well up for this game. On 65 mins Judes finally got going when strong running centre Adam Lavin crashed over for a well deserved try, this was after several line breaks and proving hard to hold, 2 mins later a clever Dean Hunt try when he dummied his way over by the posts gave Judes a glimmer of hope. Judes did start to get it right later on And in the dying seconds of the game hard working second rower Gavin Rodden broke away to score a cracking try. St Judes had chances early on but poor handling along with a great line defence from Oulton Raiders ensured Judes went home empty Handed.St Jude's were their own worst enemies with lost possession and opportunities going astray trying to rescue the situation.
